A security guard was carjacked on Rhodes College campus during the early morning hours Wednesday. A security guard was carjacked on Rhodes College campus in the early hours of Wednesday morning. The robbery occurred just before 2 a.m. at the Spann Place Security Office. The victim was inside the office when a man, 18-20 years old, got out of the car and fired a shot before following her back to the security office. He demanded the keys and left the scene in the 2023 Dodge Challenger. The stolen car contained the victim's laptop, iPhone, and wallet. The suspect is described as 18 to 20 years old.

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) - A security guard was carjacked on Rhodes College campus during the early morning hours Wednesday.

Police were called just before 2 a.m. to the Spann Place Security Office after the security guard said she was robbed.

The guard was in the office when she spotted someone sitting inside her vehicle.

That’s when a man got out of the car and fired a shot before following her back to the security office.

The suspect aimed a rifle at the security guard and demanded the keys.

After handing the keys over, the suspect left the scene in the 2023 Dodge Challenger, travelling westbound on Tutweiler Avenue.

The security guard was uninjured during the ordeal.

The victim’s laptop, iPhone and wallet were all inside the stolen car.

The suspect is described as a man, 18-20 years old, who was wearing a black jacket, light gray sweatshirt, black mask, black pants and black shoes.
