MEMPHIS, Tenn. — The Memphis Police Department is currently looking for a woman accused of a shooting during a road rage incident on I-240 Tuesday morning.

According to police, on June 11 around 11:25 a.m., officers responded to an aggravated assault at I-240 and Lamar Avenue.

The victim stated she was involved in a road rage incident with a woman driving a black Chevrolet Cobalt.

MPD says the suspect pointed a black handgun at the victim, firing multiple shots. The victim’s car was struck by gunfire twice, police say.

At that time, the victim says she was forced to exit the interstate and the suspect followed her onto South Third Street.

When the victim’s car became immobile, the suspect allegedly started chasing her around a building until she was able to get away in a bystander’s vehicle for help.

This is still an ongoing investigation.
