The city has issued new routes for trucks to use, banning 18-wheelers, dump trucks, and concrete trucks from using Holmes Rd and North Tulane Rd. Instead, trucks are supposed to use HWY 51, Stateline Rd, or South Tulane Road. Gred Dotson, Director for Engineering for the city, said SpaceXAI responded quickly to the issue. While the new routes are being enforced, it will take time to ensure all truck vendors are aware of the changes. The City ofMemphis is working with Memphis police to monitor the intersection during peak traffic times.
