Utah Jazz defeated the New Orleans Pelicans in their home opener at the Delta Center, a game following a 20-point loss in Memphis. The win was largely attributed to the team's improved defensive and ball movement, with double doubles from Jaren Jackson Jr. and Keyonte George. The Jazz led 31-28 after the first quarter and used their aggressive defense to extend their lead to 10 in the second. Despite a 19-5 run from the Pelicans to tie the game at 73 in the third quarter, the Jazz managed to reclaim the lead with 7:24 left (101-100). Keyonte extended the lead to 5 with a three-pointer. The team's fight against adversity bodes well for their upcoming game against the Lakers.
