Ty Jerome Scoring Run Has Memphis 3-0 and the NBA Doing a Double Take
Ty Jerome scoring: 104 points in three games, a perfect 14-of-14 at the line Sunday, and Memphis is 3-0 a year after he played just 15 games. Ty Jerome, the Memphis Grizzlies point guard, has led the NBA to a 3-0 win over Sacramento, scoring 104 points in three games, a 34.7 average for a player who was sidelined due to a calf injury last season. Jerome scored 31 points, going a perfect 14-for-14 at the free-throw line as Memphis beat Sacramento 123-112. This is a significant turnaround for a team that was supposed to be rebuilding without Ja Morant. He started with 45 points on opening night in a Grizzlies franchise record, topping the 44 Morant scored in 2020. Jerome has now attempted 26 free throws in three consecutive games and made 23.9 points overall, a significant improvement from last year. He signed with Memphis on a three-year, $28 million contract and has become a key player in the team.
