A mostly unnoticed presence, Aunt Delta remained at the mansion until her death on July 29, 1993, at the age of 74. She was the last resident of Graceland, where she had lived since the death of her husband in 1966. According to a story in The Commercial Appeal, she was "a private person who did not mix with the visitors who toured the mansion." She did not have any children, but was accompanied in her later years by her dog, Edmond, a Pomeranian.
