This Old-School Tennessee Hobby Shop Is Packed With Vintage Trains, Rare Models, And RC Treasures
Explore this Tennessee hobby shop, where hands-on play areas, test spaces, family-run charm, and one laid-back four-legged employee make browsing part of the fun. The family-run Tennessee hobby shop, Mid-South Hobbies, has been selling vintage trains, rare models, and RC Treasures for nearly three decades. The shop, which opened in 1996, features over 16,000 square feet devoted to model building, remote-controlled vehicles, trains, games, and creative projects. The store also features a two-acre remote-control vehicle park behind the shop, with four courses designed for different driving styles. Outdoor racing competitions have also been part of the shop's activities. The indoor and outdoor tracks have been set up for miniature RC vehicles, Hot Wheels, and Hot Wheels. The selection of G, O, HO, and N scale models and trains can vary depending on the size of the model.
